Vinland Saga: Season 2 | Rotten Tomatoes (1) Kambole Campbell Polygon Season 2 is compelling for how it rebuilds him [Thorfinn] anew, and how long it’s willing to take to do so. Jun 21, 2023 Full Review Vinland Saga: Season 2 | Rotten Tomatoes (2) Panos Kotzathanasis Asian Movie Pulse Yabuta does milk the drama in the first part of the series, which becomes a bit blunt after a point. However, this is the only issue of a truly excellent narrative and a rather captivating story that communicates its messages in the most impactful way. Rated: 7 Jul 23, 2023 Full Review Vinland Saga: Season 2 | Rotten Tomatoes (3) Rafael Sánchez Casademont Fotogramas Season 2 of Vinland Saga disconcerted its audience by putting aside the typical violence that prevails in dozens of animes centered on defeating the villain and becoming the strongest in the world. [Full review in Spanish] Jun 12, 2023 Full Review Vinland Saga: Season 2 | Rotten Tomatoes (4) Rafael Motamayor IGN Movies In retrospect, Vinland Saga season one truly does feel like the prologue to this, the actual story it always wanted to tell, and we are all better off for it. Cameron L I was disappointed to see this second season was less well received than the first. I guess I understand since the pace and amount of action changes a lot. But what can I say, as a man who has struggled with anger and hatred this season hit really close to home. I thought it was one of the best things I've ever watched and it's such a different and important perspective on justified violence. YMMV. Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/05/24 Full Review Steve D I can understand why many fans of the first season did not like season 2, but I thought season 2 was much more thought-provoking. It was foreshadowed that Thorfinn would eventually discover the path of a true warrior and like his father, and choose a path of peace over violence. I will always celebrate a story that preaches a message of peace and harmony in the world over the horror of war. Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/30/24 Full Review Shubhanshu S While season 1 was amazing, season 2 had very little action. It focused mainly on the character development of Thorfinn and how he overcomes the ghost of his past, renounces violence completely. In other words, it was BORING! As far as drama goes season 2 feels stretched too far. I had to fast forward a couple of times to get to the end of the episodes. Come on!As far as drama goes, season 1 had enough of the good dialogues, deeper subplot, philosophical themes, along with all the action. Season 2 seems like a far cry from it which has less of everything, and action was close to negligible. Full of idealistic ideas to the point the audience stops giving a crap.Depression arc of Thorfinn. The entire season could have ended in half as many episodes. Rated 1.5/5 Stars • Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 11/07/24 Full Review Thomas W zero action, unlike the first season with a dragged-out slave story which could of concluded after 4 episodes Very disappointing. Rated 1.5/5 Stars • Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 10/07/24 Full Review Mathieu R A true masterpiece. The first season is a bright fire that burn every with a lot of action. The second season is a soft and gentle flame that warms you up, it's a quest for meaning and a reflection on the meaning of life after the horror of war. The animation, the colors, the music and the storytelling are on point. The studio did a great job of adapting the manga. Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/30/24 Full Review Charlie C i wish i could go lower in terms of stars, season 1 started off great. mid season it started dying, season 2 is completely dead. so slow, boring, dull and just written poorly. i found myself forcing myself to just finish it, hoping thorFin becomes a good character. he never does. Dont waste your time like i did. Rated 0.5/5 Stars • Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 06/18/24 Full Review Read all reviews
